The VDS offers his member companies comprehensive advise and support in the subject areas of technology, environment, economy and legislation. The interests of individual group of members, especially the manufacturers of the same products, are safeguarded by the working groups of the VDS (see “Organisation”) and tackled by the Technical Committees and Working Groups depending on the subject. Besides the permanent working groups “environment” and “occupational and product safety”, ad hoc working groups are convened as required.

The VDS is also the competent contact partner for authorities and associations in all technical, economic, political, environmental and legal issues connected to the abrasives industry.
