In the subject area of legislation, the VDS provides information on the requirements of existing case law, supports its members in legal interpretation and represents the interests of the industry towards national legislators and also at European level. Besides the permanent working groups “environment” and “occupational and product safety”, thematic ad hoc working groups are convened as required. Association recommendations and draft letters are developed and coordinated position papers are formulated.
